Betseyville Women's Larina

Cyndi Lauper was such a style setter. From her mismatched tights and flaming red side ponytail to her loads of eye makeup, jelly bracelets and checkered side ‘do, girls across the nation emulated her look by the droves in the 80’s. But does anyone know who dressed her? (And by the way, have any of the rest you 80’s moms heard your daughters singing the newest version of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Miley Cyrus?)

Long known for her wild style and bold, whimsical looks, Betsey Johnson is making a major resurgence as the 80’s make their way back onto the fashion scene. It’s clear this woman knows how to have a little fun with style, right down to her super-bleached blonde bob. Her newest shoe collection, Betseyville by Betsey Johnson, lets everyone in on the fun. Here, you’ll find upbeat, vibrant looks in a variety of colors and styles with over-the-top embellishments like checkered bows, extra large buttons and fun, wild prints.

Who can resist these adorable Betty Boop style Larina pumps (pictured), in the brightest hue of hot pink, with cartoon character style bows at the toe? Or these equally fab 80’s sweater clogs, complete with contouring metal studs? (If you’re looking for warmth and coverage, you can also try out this look in the form of the Bestseyville by Betsey Johnson Lenore boot.

For a higher-end look by Miss Betsey, check out the shoes from her signature Betsey Johnson line. Like these bold and beautiful Reese pumps, crisp and classic with red rick-rack trim. Or these ultra-chic Ricci ankle boots, with oversized metal buttons, snazzy leopard print and stiletto spike heels.

Once your pair of like, totally awesome Betseys arrive, be sure to pair them with vibrant patterns and colors. And why not let Mrs. Lauper inspire a hairdo or two to match? (I am not referring to the checkerboard cut, ladies!)
