Everywhere I go these days, I see long-legged gals showing off their never-ending stems in those hot, hot, hot over-the-knee boots, and all I can do is stare in envy. Born to parents who are barely five feet tall, heredity granted me with rather short legs. Luckily for me, ankle booties are also hot this year. Here are some fierce, leg-lengthening styles I can’t wait to try on.
There is always one pair of boots I just can’t justify going out and impulse buying every year. I want them, I need them and I definitely must have them! However, the price tag generally makes me think about my choice (and about my fall birthday that lands in the middle of November).
This is MY boot this fall: Frye Mathilda. You see, I missed out on the sister boot a few years back (Frye Adrienne) and I’m still kicking myself for it. In a way I’m happy because I’m just in love with the single row of buttons up the side, and while 95% of my shoes and boots are black, I really want these in Navy.
I already know the quality is very reliable and it is worth the splurge. Now, lets see how much birthday money I get, or how generous my husband feels around my special day
A quick post to say “wow”! I saw these online of course at Shoes.com but in person they are so pretty! I hear they are comfortable and have a nice lift in the front. The pattern was a bit more subtle to me but we are under some crazy lights in cubeland so your mileage may very.
The Carlos by Carlos Santana Privilege is a great fall shoe and the plaid is to die for. They were paired with pants but would look amazing with a neat pencil skirt or even a dress you are trying to transition into fall. Looks like they are going on my next order!
The trend I’m loving most for this Fall is over-the-knee boots. I’m a tall girl, so I’m loving this trend as it will highlight my long legs, and the great thing about a lot of these styles is you can wear them several different ways. Most styles have the ability to be cuffed or scrunched down for a slouchy look. Over-the-knee boots look best with dresses or minis and over your best pair of skinny jeans or tights.
One style I love for it’s versatility and sexy, but not-too-tall heel, is the dv by dolce vita Nathan suede boot. The soft suede on this style is very supple and can easily be scrunched down for that slouchy look for a more casual feel with jeans, or wear them pulled up over your knee with a dress for an evening look that will give you an edge of sophistication.

For a truly casual over-the-knee style, my pick would be Bangle by Guess. This style is great in suede and can be worn over-the-knee or cuffed down. This style is best with jeans or tights and the flat heel is super comfy and great for all day wear or walking around the city.

For a dressier over-the-knee-boot, I would suggest the Kellyanne by Enzo Angiolini. The soft leather, thin sculpted heel, and the elegant toe on this boot make it a winner! This boot can also be cuffed down, and I love it black, but the dark brown and neutral grey color would be a good way to mix it up a bit. These boots are dressy enough for to wear to work and also out on the town with skinny jeans and a flowy top.
I’m a sucker for things with skulls and tattoo print. Everyone knows that. Hello? I bought those Dr. Marten’s Skelly Boots! Yep. So you’d think I’d own at least a pair of Ed Hardy shoes. Nope. I don’t!
Well, I didn’t. Until I saw the new Ed Hardy pumps that came out. I seriously am having problems deciding which to pick up.

As well as the pumps, I’m a big fan of the Ed Hardy Ballet Flats selection . I’m not one to generally toss on a pair of sneakers with jeans but I’m always slipping on a pair of skimmers. I’m pretty set on picking up the Ed Hardy Chelsea pictured below:

Perfect with jeans, or any one of my little black summer dresses. I can’t wait!
